Abstract
The incidence f parotid gland hemangioma in infancy is very rare. Many treatment modalities have been tried and described to remove the parotid hemangioma. Although, currently it is advised to wait for spontaneous involution by age 6, there are
some
indications for early surgical intervention. Occasionally parotid hemangiomas, as elsewhere, will require more definitive therapy because they encroach on vital structures such as the ear canal, cause platelet sequestration and severe
thrombocytopenia,
or induce high output congestive heart failure from high-flow arteriovenous communication.
The author experience the parotid hemangioma in infancy, rare in incidence, and removed surgically with satisfactory result.
